How to protect ASSETs in Africa ?

I heard this story when I was living in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Since houses were much bigger than the ones in Japan, Japanese representatives hired house drivers, gardeners and house maids. Due to help of house maids, Japanese wives were released from their house duties and could play tennis, golf and cards every day. Unfortunately some of maids were not well mannered.

Occasionally they brought back small things from our houses to their home.
One day, one Japanese wife noticed that salt decreased too quick. Why ? She took an action.

Next day before leaving for golf, she wrote a Japanese Hiragana character "の" on the surface of salt.
When she came back to her home, she checked the salt and found that the "の" was changed to Line-Symmetric ““ .

As you can imagine, the same evening, such house maid was fired.
