Choice of restaurant

If you are traveling to Brussels and looking for nice local restaurants for dinner, those in Rue des Bouchers appears attractive, But you better be cautious of “rip-off” on innocent tourists here; dishes that you have not ordered appear on receipt, deceive number of beer you have drunk...etc. Of course there are many “trustable” restaurants on the street, but, unfortunately, not necessarily all of them.

You may well also be careful of cafes and restaurants in major sightseeing places in Italy. Some of them may charge you Eur20 for a glass of mineral water!

How to avoid rip-off? Recommendations are: ask travel agency and/or hotel , check Internet (but plenty of fake information!), and get recommendation from those living there for long time.

Even for the local inhabitants, for instance in Brussels, they cannot guarantee the trustability if you are going to “bar” with somewhat shady appearance in the evening .... If you want to drink a lot, the best recommendation is the bar at the hotel you stay.
